"Great Salesperson; He Gets a 10+"
Ed Grayon was beyond belief great to  work with in buying/leasing a new car. We went in to look at an almost new (6900 miles) CPO Certified Used Car on a Saturday and he answered all our questions  and thereafter was available to answer any other questions we had and even gave me his personal cell number in case any other issue came up.  Turns out we moved from buying the CPO car to looking at a 3 yr lease on a new one. The following Monday, I spoke with Ed and we thought we had a deal for a new leased car based on our previous discussions with Ed and also briefly with the Salesmanager on Saturday. Even filled out all the paperwork the wanted and e-mailed it to Ed who passed it along to the Sales manager.  That's when we hit a problem and something went amiss. We were advised the car/color we wanted had actually sold after we left Saturday and two very similar cars would cost a bit more to lease $5-$10/mth). We had understood on Saturday that all 3 cars could be had for the same price point although the 2 other cars/colors did have a 300-500 higher MSRP.  Ed was great throughout the whole problem  and did some great "outside of the box" thinking to try to get the deal to work but in the end neither of the other 2 colors were acceptable to us at the higher price point given we could get another car in a color we truly loved for $13 more/mth (which we did a few days later) So I am not sure if the Dealership sold the car/color we liked for more than our offer before we committed to buy it  the following Monday or felt that deal/offer was only good for Saturday when we we there in person (although that was not said to us at the time-had that been said I would have understood the price point changes later on the other two cars ). In retrospect, I  simply should have got their lease offer in writing before I left Saturday while we decided whether we should lease a new car or buy the CPO used one. Bottom line, I would definitely see Ed for a new or used car deal (he's one of the most honest car salesman I have ever met and, at my age, I've met a ton) and I WOULD go back to Palisades Mazda again to lease or buy a car because, despite the issue we encountered, everyone there was very friendly and very knowledgeable (including the sales manager) and they did in fact have the best lease price on the 2018 car with the options we wanted (just not the right color).
